April spent many happy years living a few blocks up from the beach, and loved to swim in English Bay/Pacific Ocean. Jessica lived not far away. For the first few months in Ontario, April was constantly disoriented because there are no blue mountain silhouettes here -- it was like WHERE TF AM I.

MAY 2026
April has always loved what Empresses wore in those
Cathay historical dramas in the 80s. This is probably the
only way she'll ever dress like one. Jessica, on the other
hand, is being supported while also owning the aura of
knowing/playing more Mahjong than April, who is secretly
ashamed of this.
JUNE 2026
When they were young, PRIDE was a party not to be missed.
Now the Beavas are old. Parts strain and crack. April was always
a harp seal who loved her ice floe (as opposed to all of her partners
being geckos who thrive in the heat) and is also in the throes of
perimenopause, so standing in the sun dancing? Yeah, no. :(

Jessica is a longtime baseball fan - OMG DO NOT GET HER STARTED, so of course, she's in a baseball uniform. April is playing Union army dress-up.
The American Spirit is watching. And extremely disappointed.
